At Skills Academia Research and Insights Collective for Excellence, we are committed to fostering a purpose-driven research-practice link ecosystem that bridges academia and industry, amplifying the voices of insightful researchers and industry practitioners. Our interdisciplinary community advocates for forward-thinking dialogue through expert review articles, evidence-based blog articles, networking, and collaboration opportunities aimed at sharing best practices to foster positive change in diverse disciplines and fields. We also prioritise advocating for the welfare, wellbeing, and success of Masters and Doctoral research candidates and early-career researchers through brief, solution-focused mentoring and guidance. Our community, operated and moderated from Australia, serves as a nurturing space for seasoned researchers, educators, and industry practitioners, alongside emerging researchers and practitioners in the early stages of their careers. We foster a sense of belonging, continuous learning, and empowerment across geographical boundaries.

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive strategies and design campaigns to build relationships with organisations and diverse stakeholders, promoting our community's initiatives effectively.
• Manage social media and online outreach efforts to increase web traffic, click-through rates, and foster meaningful social media engagements.
• Conduct research on industry best practices and other similar platforms to provide a set of recommendations to enhance visibility and engagement within our purpose-driven research-practice link ecosystem.
• Organise and promote webinars, workshops, and networking events aimed at enhancing brand awareness, community growth, and facilitating knowledge exchange and collaboration with researchers and practitioners from diverse areas.

Additional Information

• This role encompasses a dual nature of community outreach and event planning, requiring strong communication skills and strategic thinking.
• Strong familiarity with social media apps, their functionality, and their algorithms/analytics is essential for effective online outreach and engagement strategies. Familiarity with both desktop social media platforms and app based platforms is essential. 
• A creative mindset backed with familiarity with some graphic software and apps (Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Captivate, Piktochart, Mailchimp, or other similar programs) is necessary.

Key Requirements

• Strategic Communication Skills: Ability to develop and implement effective outreach strategies and campaigns, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Social Media Proficiency: Strong familiarity with social media platforms, their functionality, and algorithms to manage and enhance online outreach efforts.
• Event Planning Experience: Proven ability to organise and oversee webinars, workshops, and networking events, focusing on community growth and knowledge exchange.
• Analytical and Research Skills: Competence in conducting research on industry best practices and competitor platforms to devise actionable insights and plans for improving community engagement.
• Relationship-Building Aptitude: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain partnerships with organisations and stakeholders, promoting the community’s initiatives effectively.
