ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Business Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the leadership team and helping them achieve our mission. You will provide valuable administrative support to our volunteer program coordinator and data entry support to our bookkeeper.

This role will suit an experienced administration assistant seeking a part time role of 38 hours per fortnight over 5 days per week. We can negotiate the hours to suit your outside commitments.

The Business Support Officer reports to the Executive Manager Finance & Corporate Services Manager and provides administrative support to the Executive, general organisation including but not limited to the Volunteer Coordinator and support to the finance team. To be successful in this role you will need to be highly self-motivated, professional, and capable of moving quickly through differing tasks in a fast-paced community services environment.

You will also provide ‘hands on’ support across a broad range of administrative and business functions. This will include:

  • The ability to take minutes, lead small projects and experience in systems and data entry are key requirements to the role. You will work as part of a small and in a highly committed team working to support our mission and communications.
  • Provide administrative support to the Snr. Volunteer Coordinator
  • Data entry and accounts payable, supported by our bookkeeper.
  • Coordinate Maintenance contractors on site
  • Maintain office supplies and requisition requirements.

  • Well-developed interpersonal, presentation skills
  • High level planning, organisational and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks to deadlines
  • Analytical and strategic thinking abilities with effective problem-solving negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Self -motivated, resourceful, enthusiastic, collaborative, and passionate about communications.
