About the role

This is a newly created role to extend our services to a Saturday program.

The Weekend Service Team Leader will lead a small team of support workers, kitchen staff and volunteers working with our sleeping rough and/or at risk of homeless community to welcome them, identify individual needs, facilitate timely referral to specialist services including housing, harm minimisation and mental health services and build social inclusion and create a safe place for our homeless community to rest on the weekend. Your ability to show welcome and set the standard for professional standards of practice will be well regarded.

ABOUT YOU

Building on your strong experience as a community support worker in the specialist homelessness network, you will be able to build rapport, identify at risk behaviours and act as chief warden on the shift. Tertiary qualifications in mental health, social work, community development or a related discipline along with your demonstrated experience in engaging vulnerable clients including rapport building, appropriate communication and maintaining clear boundaries and accountability.
