The Smith Family is a children’s education charity that helps young Australians experiencing disadvantage to create better futures for themselves through harnessing the power of education.

We are seeking an experienced Content Coordinator to join our organisation. Reporting to the Learning for Life Communications Manager and working alongside dedicated, energised, and passionate team members, this role will create compelling, informative, and innovative content for digital and print use.

About our role

You will be responsible for:

  • Producing a variety of content, including blogs, infographics, audio and video.
  • Content that meets campaign objectives, Tone of Voice and brand guidelines and effectively communicates key messages to the family audience.
  • Developing and adhering to content timelines in line with broader campaign timelines.
  • Tracking the success of content pieces and providing regular reporting to managers.
  • Liaising with the Communications Team on leveraging content.
  • Requesting quotes from suppliers and tracking costs.
  • Developing internal briefs for communications before the launch.
  • Occasional interstate travel may be required.

About you

As well as a passion for community, you will bring the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative suite.
  • Experience in a content production role.
  • Script development/ storyboarding and video skills.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Creative and innovative thinking.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team as well as autonomously.
  • A positive, can-do attitude!
  • A portfolio of your work would be highly regarded.
