The Smith Family is a national children’s education charity that works with children and young people experiencing poverty to overcome their circumstances and reach their full potential by providing holistic, long-term support for their education.

About the role

The Smith Family Fundraising team contributes significantly to the organisation’s annual income, enabling the delivery of programs to 91 communities across the country, supporting over 160,000 young Australians. We are seeking an experienced marketing professional with strong skills in data insights and analytics to join us in this newly created strategic role. Reporting to the National Manager, Fundraising Operations and Insights and working alongside dedicated, energised, and passionate team members, your responsibilities include:

  • Develop and lead the strategy to convert data insights into fundraising activity to drive increased revenue and engagement
  • Engage with insights across the Fundraising sector, synthesise learnings and recommend changes to fundraising practice based on these data-led insights
  • Oversee the collation, interpretation and production of reports and research related to Marketing activity
  • Enhance the quality of data and reporting systems across the Fundraising team

About you

As well as passion for community, you will bring the following:

  • 5+ years experience in a marketing and/or data analytics role with proven experience identifying actionable insights from data
  • Familiarity and hands-on experience with large data sets across multiple customer segments
  • Strong communicator and relationship building skills, able to engage key stakeholders and explain data in an engaging and clear way
  • Experience working with SQL and/or creating Power BI reports desirable
  • Experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector desirable
