This opportunity

Family Connect and Support currently has a vacancy for a Program Worker four days a week based out of our Lismore office, ongoing subject to funding. Family Connect is an early intervention service providing timely information and advice, appropriate warm referrals and practical assistance to children, young people and families. The ability to be flexible and responsive to the needs of the service, build positive connections and work collaboratively with key stakeholders are essential to the position. The role will include completing intake and/or risk assessments, case coordination and/or case management and linking families into support services while having a child safety lens about your work.

We are looking for a passionate individual with a desire to make a difference

The successful candidate will have:

  • A deep understanding of the challenges that face families, children and young people face, particularly those in marginalised groups
  • The ability to achieve positive outcomes for families within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong administration skills with a focus on data entry and case noting.
  • Knowledge of local support services and referral pathways.
  • Experience of working with a child safety lens.
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in health, education, psychology, social work, early childhood, social welfare or similar.
