We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate leader to oversee our Medicare Mental Health Centre in Muswellbrook and our AOD support service, The Bridge, in Singleton.

Our Medicare Mental Health Centre offers a free mental health support service for people aged 18+ experiencing distress and provides a welcoming entry point for engagement, assessment, care planning and coordination and recovery-oriented interventions. This program is based in Muswellbrook with outreach services to Singleton and Scone.

The Bridge provides specialist AOD services to reduce the harm related to alcohol and other drug use and to improve the health, wellbeing and social outcomes of young people, pregnant people and parents with young children. The hub is based in Singleton.

This role gives you the opportunity to:

we are looking for a visionary leader with a desire to make a difference. the successful candidate will have:

  • ​​Tertiary qualifications or equivalent senior experience in a relevant discipline, i.e. psychology, mental health nursing or social work.​

  • ​​Extensive experience in a senior management role leading teams in the mental health, social and human services sector.​

  • At least 3 years demonstrated experience in managing and overseeing the delivery of mental health and or AOD services to people with mild to severe mental health concerns and people at risk of harm due to alcohol and other drugs use.

  • ​​Demonstrated knowledge and skills in delivering services to support people managing mental health and substance use issues and ability to provide workforce mentoring and support.​

  • ​​Demonstrated ability to deliver results in line with organisational priorities and implement innovative and effective solutions to complex problems. ​

  • ​​Outstanding relationship, negotiation and conflict management skills.

  • ​Demonstrated experience in establishing and building stakeholder relationships and promoting new programs of work.​
