Regenerating Australia’s soils and landscapes has never been more important, and our work at Soils for Life is expanding! We’re currently recruiting for multiple roles in our team to help us deliver on our mission to support Australian farmer soil stewards.

We’re currently recruiting for up to four roles, including a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Writer/Researcher and Communications Officer (more detail below). All roles are 100% remote, with the option to work from anywhere within Australia.

We want to hear from you if you’re passionate about soils, agriculture, community and the environment! We’re particularly looking for candidates with skills in:

• Research combined with applied writing that connects with a range of audiences
• Project management and coordinating colleagues and partners
• Written and digital communications, including social media

In this advertisement we are seeking applications for a Communications Officer.

Some knowledge, qualification and/or experience in soils, agro-ecology and/or regenerative agriculture is required, and motivation and passion for the mission is essential!

about the opportunity

Communications Officer

This role involves supporting our Communications Manager with the production of a wide range of communications content. This may include supporting the production of podcasts, webinars, social media, website, newsletter, flyers, brochures, reports and more. Candidates for this role could be early in their career, and would have demonstrated skills in creating creative, engaging content of at least one of the types noted above.

In particular, we are looking for candidates with design skills (eg document layout and design, Adobe Illustrator etc) and/or social media skills (eg creating engaging social media copy, using Canva to create social tiles etc).

This role is flexible in terms of hours, with a minimum of 2 days per week. The role is fully remote, with the option to work from anywhere within Australia. Working rights in Australia are required.
