Thank you for your interest in applying for the role of AOD Clinician with Sonder.

The AOD Clinician will work as part of a multidisciplinary Mental Health & Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) team to deliver evidence-based interventions to assist with the management of co-occurring, or comorbid, AOD and mental health conditions. The goal of management is to allow AOD treatment to continue without mental health symptoms disrupting the treatment process, and to retain clients in treatment who might otherwise discontinue treatment.

Treatment will aim to reduce AOD related harms and co-occurring mental health symptoms by conducting assessments and providing a range of brief interventions, psychological interventions and care coordination to assist individuals to change behaviour patterns and increase capacity to effectively manage problems they are experiencing associated with AOD use and promote recovery.

Working in a primary care setting AOD Clinicians will be responsible for providing integrated treatment services to individuals presenting with harms related to AOD substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns.

Certificate IV or higher in Alcohol and Other Drugs (or equivalent) and/or

Allied Health Qualification i.e. Social Work, Psychology or Occupational Therapy, or relevant undergraduate tertiary qualification is required for this role.

Delivery of focused psychological therapies and experience in the AOD sector is a must.
