We are seeking a Migration Assistant to join our highly regarded Migration Team. In this role, you will provide support to community members to navigate immigration-related matters. You will provide crucial administrative support to our Migration Agents as well as general reception/administration for the Settlement and Family Services Team based in our Sunshine office.

This position is a Level 3.1 under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award. It is a 12 month fixed term role working 4 days a week, Tuesday - Friday.

About you

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • A passion for working with migrants and refugees
  • Experience as a migrant or refugee, or demonstrated experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • Experience with migration and visa processes
  • Ability to speak a relevant community language
  • Patient and approachable temperament; helpful, flexible, and proactive
  • Positive values of integrity, accountability, reliability and working as part of a team
  • Great interpersonal communication skills

Spectrum is a Child Safe employer. Employment is subject to a current employment Working with Children Check, National Police Check (and international police check if resided overseas for 12 months or longer in the past 10 years) and proof of the right to work in Australia.
