We are seeking a Payroll Officer to facilitate the end-to-end processing and administration of fortnightly payroll for approximately 230 employees accurately, efficiently and in accordance with the SCHADS Award and legislative requirements. This role will play a key role in the design, development and implementation of our new HRIS and Payroll system (Readytech).

This position is a Level 4 under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award.

It is a 3 day a week part time role for a fixed period of 12 months. To align with payroll timing the days must be Mondays and Tuesdays and another chosen day or work could be spread across two or more days.

About you

We want to hear from you if you have: Demonstrated experience interpreting SCHADS award, including for home care employees rostered on multiple shifts per day and providing advice on queries

Working knowledge of Australian employment and payroll legislation, payroll tax, PAYG and superannuation

  • Confidentiality, sensitivity, and integrity across all aspects of the role
  • Exceptional attention to detail and data inputting with high levels of accuracy
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills and comfortable with the strict deadlines associated with a fortnightly payroll
  • Drive for problem solving and process improvement and creates person-centred solutions
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office, ideally intermediate to advanced skills in Excel
