We currently have an amazing opportunity for a NDIS Plan Management Officer on a on a full-time basis working out of our Cairns Healthy Living Centre.

What will I be doing?

The purpose of this role is to manage NDIS Plan Management clients, provide accounting and administrative support to the Finance department and undertake special projects as required. This position will work in a close knit team along with staff at all levels and will provide best practice solutions in a continuous improvement environment.

NDIS Plan Management:

  • Provide excellent customer service to new and existing plan management clients, suppliers and other stakeholders.
  • Assist existing clients with NDIS plan renewal, rollover and extension.
  • Liaise with clients, Support Coordinators and Local Area Coordinators as needed.
  • Managed NDIS Plan Management’s inbox including email queries and verification of invoices.
  • Perform all the accounting functions in the Finance areas of NDIS Plan Management, duties including but not limited to data entry in Careview, creating clients service bookings, maintaining the database and maintaining and reviewing budgets.
  • Ensure all NDIS Plan management’s claims and payments are made, consistent with the Plan Management service agreement.

Accounting and Administration:

  • Assist accounts receivable (AR) function including receipting and banking, processing invoices when required.
  • Assist the AR function to contact debtors and provide support to ensure overdue accounts are paid within agreed terms.
  • Assist accounts payable (AP) functions including processing of purchase orders, and invoices when required.
  • Provide administrative support across the finance department.
  • Undertake general administration duties as required for projects.
  • Respond in an efficient and courteous manner to all queries from both internal and external customers.

We are looking for:

  • Have working knowledge within a Finance/ Accounts Team. i.e., Credit Control Accounts Clerk, Accounts Receivable etc
  • Previous experience working with NDIS
  • An effective communicator with a keen eye for detail to deliver high quality outcomes for all stakeholders
  • An adept relationship-builder with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Someone who has a high level of time management skills, with the ability to work under the pressure of deadlines
  • You will be required to obtain a NDIS Workers Screen and Blue card.
