Yarn SMART

The Yarn SMART Program is based on Dr Liz Dale PHD findings and has been co-designed with the Aboriginal Action Group. The Program provides tools and resources based on the 4C’s of Culture, Community, Connection and Country.

Yarn SMART Program Principles

  • The program acknowledges and celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander wisdom, thinking, doing and being
  • The program understands and responds to the ongoing impacts of colonisation and intergenerational trauma.
  • The program highly values self-determination and is flexible and providers are encouraged to adapt to local cultural, community or individual context
  • The program is holistic and recognises that Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander wellbeing and healing has many components.

Our Vision

We envision a world where individuals with addictive behaviours are supported by a compassionate community, have access to effective recovery tools, and can build strong, resilient lives. We strive to provide equitable access to recovery programs for all Australians, particularly those from marginalised communities.
