About You

Reporting to Revenue Accounting Manager, this role is to ensure end-to-end revenue recognition is maintained accurately and in a timely manner. This role will also assist and support other month-end and year-end tasks, ensure compliance with internal finance policies and accounting standards, and program contractual reporting requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage assigned month-end tasks/processes to meet reporting requirements and deadlines including month end journals, inter-company invoices and GL reconciliations
  • Oversee the revenue transactions and revenue compliance across for various entities. Be able to efficiently report on the revenue transactions to management in accordance with monthly timetable and as when required. Responsible for maintaining Grants contract register and overseeing invoicing for Grants income.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of contracts and budgets and apply invoicing and revenue recognition in accordance with the terms of the contracts and budgets as well as accounting standard.
  • Responsible for invoicing internal and external stakeholders; Intercompany revenue recharges and reconciliations on an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintain aged receivables register, follow up aged debtors, prepare bank reconciliations and track Cash Inflow based on Bank transactions.
  • Preparation and accountability of the revenue balance sheet accounts including a monthly reconciliation on Accrued Income Receivable, Deferred Revenue and Unearned Income balance sheet account.

Essential Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance/Accounting or related.
  • CA/CPA qualified or working towards with 2+ years’ experience in AR and Reporting Functions.
  • Knowledge and understanding of AASB 15 and AASB 1058.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and adaptive to rapidly changing business circumstances.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel. Able to handle large and complex data sets.
