ABOUT THE ROLE

The role of Manager, Clinical Safety & Quality is to support management teams across the St Agnes’ Care & Lifestyle business to ensure the organisation achieves compliance by having robust processes and systems that are compliant with relevant laws, regulations and requirements. In addition, this position is responsible for taking charge of the implementation and constant improvement of infection control policies and practices across the organisation.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

  • Lead and coordinate the development of policies and procedures, managing and evaluating policy systems, using evidence-based practice.
  • Work with the services to identify key areas of relevant standards for auditing to identify gaps in practice and process.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in external assessment and recertification audits and internal quality audits. 
  • Review, improve and support the clinical, quality, risk and compliance framework across St Agnes’ Care & Lifestyle. 
  • Develop and implement infection control policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Provide leadership and direction to team members ensuring all information relevant to the work performed is communicated effectively.

The position will be offered to the successful applicant as a Max Term - Full Time Role starting August 2024 for the duration of 6 months, working 76hrs a fortnight from Monday – Friday.

WHO YOU ARE 

  • Commitment to work in harmony with Catholic Values and Principles.
  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent with current AHPRA registration (Required).
  • Practical experience in a health or community services sector or a quality, risk, compliance and safety role (Required).
  • Qualification in infection prevention and control (Highly desirable).
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or industry experience in quality, risk and compliance within aged or disability care. (Highly desirable).
  • Current knowledge of Australian Aged Care Quality Standards, accreditation requirements, WHS legislation and the principles of aged and resident / client legislation.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work with a Person-Centred Philosophy.
