ROLE OVERVIEW

This is a contract position for an Events and Marketing Coordinator, who will be a dynamic and creative addition to our team. This role involves coordinating communications, managing social media, and handling graphic design. Additionally, the Coordinator will play a key role in supporting event logistics and administrative tasks, ensuring the success of Stand Up’s initiatives.

This flexible, part-time role (2-3 days per week) is ideal for someone passionate about empowering both the Jewish and broader communities, with strong skills in marketing and event coordination.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing and Communications

  • Communications Strategy: Deliver the communications plan strategy set by the Leadership Team, including digital campaigns, newsletters, and other marketing efforts to boost visibility and engagement. Participating in the development and implementation of the strategy would be beneficial.

  • Content Creation: Create graphics, written content, video content, and promotional materials for events, campaigns, and programs.

  • Social Media Management: Develop, schedule, and post content across Stand Up’s social media platforms to engage and inspire our audience.

  • Website management: Experience maintaining website content such as updating pages, images and links.

  • Email marketing: Design, create and send email marketing campaigns using programs like MailChimp or Nationbuilder.

  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all communication aligns with Stand Up’s brand and vision.

  • Copywriting Skills: Utilise strong copywriting skills to produce engaging and effective content.

  • Reporting: Prepare reports and analysis on effectiveness of marketing and general activities.

Event Coordination

  • Event Logistics: Coordinate logistics for events and programs, including booking venues, managing RSVPs, liaising with hosts, vendors, partners and other stakeholders to ensure smooth event delivery.

  • Administrative Support: Provide day-to-day administrative assistance, such as preparing event materials and maintaining databases.

  • Volunteer Support: Assist in recruiting and coordinating volunteers for various events and activities.

General Responsibilities

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, all employees at Stand Up are required to:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to support Stand Up’s programs and initiatives.
  • Maintain and organise digital and physical event materials and records.
  • Participate in team meetings
  • Communicate as required with Program Coordinators.
  • Operate in a manner that is collaborative; sharing information and knowledge which contributes to program development.
  • Exemplify the values of empowerment, professionalism and organisational excellence.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in Communications and Marketing: Demonstrated 2+ years of experience in managing social media, content creation, and digital campaigns.
  • Event Coordination Experience: Previous experience in planning, organising, and delivering events.
  • Experience with Digital Tools: MailChimp, WordPress, or similar tools and CRM systems.
  • Design Skills: Graphic design experience using tools such as Canva.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and prioritise work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail: ensuring all communications are clear and error free and maintaining consistent messaging.
  • Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to craft messages that inspire and engage.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate and work within a team, but also able to work independently.
  • Passion: Alignment with Stand Up’s mission, values, and commitment to working with marginalised communities.
