An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join the welcoming and supportive team in Caloundra.

The Position

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will support management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and interpretation, stakeholder engagement and administration of finance systems, your duties will include:

• Complete end of month tasks including journals, reconciliations, provisions, accruals, fixed assets and depreciation and assist with acquittals
• Closely monitor performance and expenditure against forecast operating budgets
• Assist in preparing financial information for tenders
• Assisting with Administration of financial software and systems, processes data collection and record keeping practices
• Support wider finance team with accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations and other administrative duties for multiple program areas

The Successful Applicant will:

• Hold tertiary qualifications Accounting or related discipline with 2 years' experience
• Demonstrated detailed knowledge and experience across the full spectrum of financial management
• Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems and software
• Strong Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills
• Team oriented with strong customer service and communication skills
• Quality and outcomes focused with excellent time management
