An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Participant Support Officer to join the welcoming and supportive team in Casuarina.

The Position

Providing end to end support and guidance to adult learners, your responsibilities will include:

• Establish connections with Participants through elements of the commencement process, including registration and entry interviews, and continue this connection through the provision of ongoing pathway guidance as required
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with Participants to understand their personal circumstances and be able to support the client to meet their learning goals and needs.
• Use effective communication techniques with Participants to explore barriers, identify possible solutions and collaborate with relevant site team members to achieve a resolution
• Conduct exit interviews with Participants to gain information to assist in continual improvement and innovation within the training programs and to refer to appropriate pathways.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with support services, community organisations, cultural groups and government agencies and refer Participants based on their needs and circumstances.

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for this opportunity you must meet the following criteria:

• Demonstrated experience in a similar student support role within an RTO or School environment
• An effective, flexible and supportive communication style which delivers positive outcomes across disadvantaged and culturally diverse clients
• Proven ability to build rapport quickly and establish relationships and networks, to deliver a variety of support activities to clients
• Strong customer service, attention to detail, time management and high level of administration skills is essential

Applicants must have the ability to complete a Police Check, have the ability to hold a Working with Children's Card, and have a current Driver's Licence.
