An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Trainer and Assessor in Community Services to join the vibrant and fast paced team delivering Certificate III in Individual Support under the Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) program.

This is a full time position contracted through to 13/06/2025.

The Position

Delivering customer focused courses, you will be required to train, assess and support students who are currently studying the Certificate III in Individual Support under the Skilling Queenslanders for Work program.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver all aspects of accredited training and assessment in accordance with Standards for RTO's and the Australian Qualifications Framework specifications.
  • Apply a broad range of communication styles and methods to ensure effective understanding of diverse clients in the training program.
  • Train, assess and support students throughout the course and during their placement
  • Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback.
  • Work with other Aged Care and Disability organisations to assist student to placements

The Successful Applicant

  • Hold a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
  • A minimum 2 years recent industry experience across the Aged Care and Disability industries
  • Must hold Certificate III Individual Support or higher
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the achievement of client learning outcomes and high level client participation, retention and completion rates.
  • Effective and flexible training delivery style that delivers positive outcomes across disadvantaged and culturally diverse clients.
  • COVID-19 and Flu Vaccination Mandatory

Applicants must have the ability to hold a NDIS Worker Screening Clerance, a Working With Children card and have a current Driver's Licence.
