We are seeking a CDP to join our dynamic team at House of Welcome Catering Social Enterprise (HW Catering). This role will offer the right candidate an opportunity to work with people seeking asylum and refugees and be part of a business for purpose. Our menus are diverse, and our service is highly sought after by corporates, businesses and government departments.

You will be cooking under the supervision of the Head Chef, while working and learning to produce high quality menu items.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Knowledge of HACCP and work health and safety regulations
  • Minimum qualifications in Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and have 5 years hospitality experience
  • TAFE Workplace Hygiene or Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or equivalent
  • Strong time management skills to deliver orders in a timely and professional manner
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A flexible can-do attitude towards work
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Hold a valid drivers' licence
  • Must live in Australia
  • Unable to offer sponsorship

About The Role:

  • 40 hours per week
  • 2 RDOs per week
  • Great work Life Balance
  • Available to work Monday - Saturday
  • You may be asked to start early or finish late depending on the needs of the business
  • Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
