St John Ambulance Australia (NT) Inc. (St John NT) is the Territory’s leading provider in emergency medical response and preparedness. We have a mission to save lives and build community resilience to improve the safety and healthcare for all Territorians. We do this by providing a range of services from ambulance services under contract to the Northern Territory Government, coordination of emergency medical responses, event health services and first aid assistance at community and major events through to nationally accredited first aid training, community education and first aid products and equipment.

The organisation requires a professional experienced Payroll Officer looking to take their career to the next level. You will be an essential part of a very busy team; this high-level role will provide you with a lot of variety.

The Role

Working alongside the Payroll Manager, you will provide timely and professional payroll information and services to the staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Processing employee timesheets and payments.
• Ensuring Payroll administration documents are processed, completed accurately and detailed records kept throughout the employment life-cycle.
• Utilising the Payroll and HRIS system.
• Processing of Salary sacrifice and Workers Compensation payments and reimbursements.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for a minimum of twelve months experience in Payroll. The successful applicant will be proactive, solutions focused, a team player and have the ability to build lasting relationships. Ideally the successful applicant will:

• Be driven by good relationships, have strong skills in communication, negotiation and integrity.
• Be strong in planning and time management.
• Have strong attention to detail.
• Be reliable and honest
