St Joseph’s Family Services (SJFS) is a part of St Agnes’ Catholic Parish, a Catholic community located in beautiful Port Macquarie on the mid-north coast of NSW, Australia. Since the first St Agnes’ Catholic Church was built in 1878, the Parish has played an essential role in caring for, guiding and growing, the local community.

As a part of the Parish, SJFS receives wonderful support and resources from the wider Parish business structures, which adds to our enjoyable and supportive work environments.  

ABOUT THE ROLE

SJFS are seeking Early Childhood Educator's who are currently studying or hold a Certificate III or Diploma to join our casual pool. As a casual Educator you will be working across all of our three centres, St Agnes’ Early Education Centre, Joey’s House Early Education Centre and St Joseph’s Preschool and Long Day Care. 

All three centres have a long and trusted history in providing childcare and preschool education services to the Port Macquarie, Hastings and Camden Haven areas. Joining an established and supportive team, you will have the flexibility to work various shifts over the weekdays from 7:00 – 17:40. 

Once experienced in SJFS, there is potential for permanent positions across the centres in a part-time or full-time capacity.

We work collaboratively to create stimulating, educational and inclusive environments where children love to come to learn through play and educators equally enjoy their partnerships with colleagues, children and families. WHO YOU ARE

• You are committed to work in harmony with Catholic Values and Principle
• Studying or hold a Certificate III or Diploma   
• NSW Working with Children Check clearance or the ability to obtain
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with staff and families
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Intermediate computer skills
• Demonstrated commitment to providing quality early education and care
• Be prepared to work across the weekdays between 7.00–17:30
