Stop Live Exports (SLE) is committed to ending the export of live animals from Australia. The campaign began in the mid-nineties and is coordinated by a volunteer committee which oversees the strategic direction of the organisation, with the support of part time contractors to help achieve the organisation’s goals.
The Labor Government has introduced a ban on live sheep export from May 2028, but we still have work to do to ensure this ban remains in place following the outcome of the next Federal election. This is an exciting, unprecedented time!
As President, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our organisation towards achieving its mission in ending live animal exports. You will work collaboratively with our committee, staff, and volunteers to foster a positive and inclusive environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your leadership skills.
