Stride is a name that expresses our ambition – it’s a name that’s purposeful and shows awareness of the important role we play in the recovery journey. We are leaders in mental health service delivery, specialising in working with adults and young people, and in early childhood intervention.
As we embark on our next stage, join us to make a difference. We're here to Stride.
Stride, in partnership with Wellways and Clarity Health Care will soon be opening the Western NSW Medicare Mental Health Centre, with locations in Dubbo and Bathurst. The Medicare Mental Health Centres, formerly Head to Health, are an important part of the Australia’s reformed mental health and wellbeing system.
The Medicare Mental Health Centre is supported by funding from Western NSW Primary Health Network through the Australian Government’s PHN Program. The Dubbo and Bathurst Medicare Mental Health Centres will provide the community with a free, safe and welcoming space to access mental health advice, supports and services. Walk-ins will be welcomed, services are confidential, and no appointment or referral will be required.
The services in Dubbo and Bathurst are funded by the Australian Government, to provide a streamlined approach to support better mental health and social wellbeing across the country. The service is tailored to the needs of the community in regional NSW and provides a combination of peer-led recovery and clinical support.
The Medicare Mental Health Centre provides a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for people experiencing psychological distress, providing an alternative to presenting to the Emergency Department for low risk individuals, and allowing them to access support from trained mental health professionals within their community, outside a clinical setting.
The Centre Manager leads and manages the mental health care team at the MMHC, to deliver effective and sustainable recovery oriented services to people with mental health issues and their families/significant others.
Responsibilities of the role include oversight of clinical governance and service delivery, contract management, stakeholder and partnership engagement, financial and human resources management as well as maintaining oversight of compliance with funding and reporting requirements.
Stride is an inclusive workplace and we encourage applications from diverse backgrounds. This includes but is not limited to people with a lived experience of mental health recovery, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, LGBTQIA+, and people with disabilities.
