headspace Townsville, under the leadership of their lead agency Stride, deliver high quality evidence-based clinical care to achieve better health outcomes for young people aged 12-25 years.
Our multidisciplinary team supports young people in the Townsville region by providing support for mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drug use, and getting into work and study.
headspace Townsville offers a number of evidence based mental health and wellbeing treatments that range from low intensity brief interventions through to high intensity long-term interventions. These include:
The headspace Youth Access Team is comprised of Intake Clinicians who act as the first point of contact for young people accessing the headspace service and play a significant role in their continued engagement. This role provides high quality assessments as well as evidence based therapeutic interventions tailored to meet the individual needs of the young person. This includes a variety of modalities ranging from brief interventions through to longer-term care for young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
