The Aboriginal Health Promotions Officer will provide health promotion service under the guidance of the Health Promotions Coordinator to the Aboriginal Health Service clients in the clinic and in the community with a direct focus on allied health service promotion.

• Advising non-Aboriginal clinical staff on community, cultural and language matters that impact on the community and our clients.
• Facilitate school and youth education programs and events across all MDAS serviced areas
• Facilitate community days and community events across all MDAS serviced areas
• Advising community through the promotion of initiatives in regard to cancer prevention and screenings, smoking cessation, sexual health, eye health, oral health, and the Deadly Choices program.
• Promote allied health services
