Survivors of Torture and Trauma Rehabilitation Service (STTARS) is a non-government, not for profit organisation that has been operating in South Australia since 1991. STTARS is looking for a Practice Facilitator to join its Clinical Services and Leadership Teams. The Practice Facilitator will provide support and guidance to practitioners across the organisation alongside the Clinical Services Manager and Team Leaders, and is responsible for building a service delivery culture that meets best practice and integrates findings from international research and clinical practice. The Practice Facilitator will also design and deliver high quality practice development and professional learning programs within STTARS and externally to build the skills and capacity of internal staff and staff at mainstream services to appropriately respond to and care for refugee clients and survivors of torture and trauma.
Applications are encouraged from professionals who can effectively demonstrate the ability to lead high quality trauma-informed practice based on sound expertise and provide support to the highly skilled and dedicated workforce.
The successful candidate must have relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology or a related discipline and hold registration with appropriate professional body. Ideally, they will also be an accredited supervisor (Psychology Board Approved Supervisor, Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia or Australian Association of Social Work) and hold a Certificate IV in training and assessment.
