The Assistant Store Manager role is permanent full-time and is based at the Vinnies store in Newtown. You will work closely with the Store Manager in overseeing all aspects of daily store operations and effectively work with the retail team in achieving sales targets.

To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in achieving and exceeding financial objectives; demonstrated strong leadership skills / potentials and excellent customer service skills. Your ability to work independently and as part of the team, and good work ethics are equally important to this role.

Your Responsibility

  • Work closely with the Store Manager in managing the daily operation of the store
  • Oversee all aspects of store operations in the absence of the Store Manager including supervising employees and volunteers, and handling customer complaints
  • Drive to achieve maximum sales performance
  • Demonstrated understanding of KPIs/budgets; and the needs of the business and the people we serve
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all
  • Support the consistent implementation of store policies and procedures.

You will need

  • Experience in achieving or exceeding sales and KPI benchmarks
  • Demonstrated leadership skills or potentials that can be utilised and further enhanced through training and development
  • Keen interest in mentoring a dynamic team of employees and volunteers
  • Ability to understand financial objectives /budgets.
