The St Vincent de Paul Society is a leading provider of community support services and has been assisting people experiencing disadvantage in NSW for more than 130 years. This position is in the Vinnies Services directorate. The Vinnies Services directorate provides a range of evidence-based services and programs that support men, women and children experiencing poverty or disadvantage to rebuild their lives.
Fred's Place operates as a daytime homeless care and support service (with no on-site accommodation) for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in the Tweed Heads region. It provides a range of intervention and prevention services from basic personal needs to a range of integrated professional 'in house' support services and/or outreach services as Behaviour Management is responsible for monitoring and managing the behaviour of clients accessing Fred's Place.
The Case Worker will provide case work support to people accessing Vinnies homelessness and housing services. The Case Worker's role involves engaging with rough sleepers or those who are at risk of homelessness and offering them support in a respectful, non-judgmental and inclusive manner.
