Your Role

As the Centre Coordinator, you will be responsible to develop and facilitate activities that promote exceptional impact, service and engagement that contribute to the broader outcomes of those experiencing disadvantage.

Your Responsibility

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations for the Ozanam Learning Centre, including coordinating programs and activities that ensure that consumer voice is reflected.
  • Develop and facilitate social engagement activities that reflect consumer voice and are evidence informed practice.
  • Utilise approaches that maximise the engagement, participation and outcomes of people experiencing disadvantage in our services.
  • Develop key partnerships that align to the targeted service outcomes for people we assist and create and implement strategies that promote engagement in our services from the broader community.
  • Ensure rigorous data capture and reporting that contribute to continuous improvement.

You Will Need

  • Relevant tertiary qualification/s and / or demonstrated experience in community services and / or other relevant area.
  • Demonstrated experience working with people who experience disadvantage due to homelessness, the impact of trauma, mental health issues, alcohol and other drug issues and / or unemployment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a broad range of people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, including cultural sensitivity and cross-culture communication.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and facilitating high-quality programs and activities that reflect consumer voice and meet outcomes for people experiencing disadvantage.
  • Ability to confidently apply de-escalation strategies in high conflict situations.
