Your Role

As the Junior Payroll Officer you will assist in the everyday payroll processing across the three Preceda Payroll databases some of these duties will be actioning minor tasks and processing general data. As apart of your role you will need to ensure the frameworks are compliant with all laws and regulations.

Your Responsibility 

  • Ensure the security and assist with the creation of Access Profiles for all Managers and Self-Serve Users.
  • Support the Payroll Team’s entire functions across all payroll environments we support.
  • Maintain the records and perform audit checks about fringe benefits and meal entertainment payments.
  • Assist with performing administrative tasks
  • Contribute to a safe working environment for staff, members and volunteers by implementing the Society’s workplace health and safety practices.
  • Contribute to the implementation of effective risk management procedures to ensure compliance with legal, employment and governance requirements.

You Will Need: 

  • Minimum of 6 months Payroll Experience. 
  • Knowledge of Awards and Collective Agreements.
  • Ability to maintain an audit process on data held within Preceda, or similar payroll systems. 
  • Proven ability to identify and investigate anomalies and follow up with managers in a cooperative manner. 
  • Experience managing highly confidential employee details. 
  • A knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, the ability to work with managers and staff at all levels of the Society and impart complex HR information to stakeholders.
