Your Role 

As the Manager Risk and Compliance, you will build the Society’s risk maturity, embed effective risk and compliance frameworks across the Society, and foster a risk aware culture supported by relevant capabilities. 

Your Responsibility

  •  Lead implementation of the enterprise Risk Management Framework 
  • Develop and implement systems and processes to embed the effective identification, assessment and management of risks across the organisation 
  • Ensure effective risk measurement and reporting 
  • Provide advice and support to the organisation to build risk capabilities and embed risk assessment in operational and strategic decision-making 
  • Develop an enterprise-wide Compliance Framework and manage its implementation, ensuring compliance obligations are understood, managed and reported on 
  • Oversight business continuity plan testing and improvement 
  • Support service accreditation processes and external audits 
  • Support specific strategic projects as required. 
  • Contribute to a safe working environment for members, volunteers and employees by implementing the Society’s workplace health and safety practice 

You Will Need

  • Relevant tertiary qualification/s and/or experience in risk and compliance in a relevant sector. 
  • Experience implementing best practice risk and compliance frameworks. 
  • Project management experience, including the ability to effectively manage change in large, complex organisations. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills including the ability to develop reports, briefing papers and other documents accurately and in short time frames. 
  • Understanding of current issues facing the not-for-profit sector and incorporated not for profit organisations.
