Your Role

As the Project Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of special capex funded projects which require either Complying Development Consent (CDC) or Development Application (DA) or involved in projects which require extensive and time-consuming stakeholder engagement to brief, scope and procure the capex projects. This role also supports the delivery of development and capital works functions across SVdP’s NSW’s property portfolio.

Your Responsibility

  • Capital expense (capex) management planning: support and contribute to the development and implementation of a state-wide capex property plan to deliver special projects and programs of works in response to the client directorates’ property needs. The capex plan is to be established ahead of the commencement of the financial year.
  • Feasibility analysis: support the assessment of project viability, focusing on economic, technical, legal, and scheduling considerations to align with strategic objectives.
  • Development Strategy: support the development and execute comprehensive development plans, facilitating the seamless transition from conceptualisation to implementation.
  • Project briefs: engage and consult with the client directorates to develop project briefs and responding scope of works schedules. This includes the development of Functional Design Briefs (FDBs) which states the: project brief and design principles; schedule of accommodation; functional relationship diagrams; and identification of a range of options to deliver the project; etc.
  • Business cases: support the client directorates in their preparation of business cases by preparing the property related inputs. Support the client directorates to prepare compelling business cases to justify the proposed property solution.

You Will Need

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and competing priorities across and within several client service streams.
  • Demonstrated ability to review and analyse business data and analytics to enable effective reporting and decision-making on operational performance.
  • Relevant qualification in commerce and/or property management or related fields.
  • Demonstrated ability in the delivery of capex projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver improved customer outcomes through a strong client relationship management focus.
