Your Role

As the Senior Safety Partner for our Commercial Enterprise, Retail and Fundraising (CERF) directorate,  you'll collaborate with leaders across a diverse range of areas to help build a constructive culture that enables positive outcomes for our employees and volunteers.

Utilising your excellent leadership skills you will engage deeply with the business to understand the context, facilitate problem solving and support the implementation of tailored solutions to address operational challenges and manage critical safety risks associated with warehousing, transport and logistics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to plan, shape and implement critical safety programs
  • Lead by influence, coaching, guiding and building safety capability in others
  • Deliver expert safety advice while empowering local leaders to take the lead on action
  • Lead investigations that turn incident learnings into transformative action across the organisation
  • Develop and roll out organisation-wide programs addressing critical risks in warehousing, transport, and logistics
  • Conduct regular site visits to understand the operating context, verify implementation of our safety management standards and collaborate with teams to resolve safety challenges with practical, hands-on solutions.

You Will Need

  • Driver licence & willingness to regularly travel to undertake site visits at metropolitan and regional locations across the state
  • Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or a related field
  • Practical experience working as a safety professional, with strong knowledge of legislation and industry standards in transport, warehousing, and logistics
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Proven ability to mentor senior employees in cultural and behavioural change
  • Skilled in risk assessments, inspections, audits and incident investigations
  • Experience developing safety and compliance programs in complex environments.
