Your Role

As the Service Desk Support Officer role you will support the manager to manage work order requests for maintenance and repairs of properties (buildings, garden, and grounds) to have the properties satisfy agreed service standards.

Your Responsibility

  • Support the management of contractors to ensure maintenance activities are conducted to appropriate standards within agreed timeframes.
  • Issue, manage and track service requests and work orders to appropriate contractors, tradespeople, or maintenance officers.
  • Obtain quotes from contractors and verify quotes rates and scope are as per existing contracts.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions for both planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Manage and action the day-to-day work order requests (planned preventative and reactive) for the property portfolio, ensuring timely resolution of property support requests and incidents.
  • Fully utilise the MRI FM5000 (or other similar system) to raise, manage and close-out all work orders.
  • Provide regular reports as to the status of work orders whether open, closed, resolved in/out of time, etc.
  • Investigate and identify deficiencies in existing contracts and assist in the preparation of contract variations and associated documentation.

You Will Need

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and competing priorities across and within several client service streams.
  • Demonstrated ability to review and analyse business data and analytics to enable effective reporting and decision-making on operational performance. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to prepare financial-social sustainable business cases and articulate the merits of a proposition.
  • An understanding of membership and for-purpose organisations and the challenges and the rewards of managing property within a financial-social environment.
