Your Role

As the Vinnies Vans State Support Coordinator you will lead policy and program support for Vinnies Vans Services across the state, working with the state Manager – Vinnies Vans.

Your Responsibility

  • Support the establishment of state-wide systems to improve the experiences of the people we assist in accessing Vinnies Vans.
  • Lead in developing effective written statements, reports and communications related to Vinnies Vans services and programs, including program documentation and reporting to donors. 
  • Support the maintenance of an effective system of State-wide data collection for the Society’s vans services, working collaboratively with ICT, the Member Programs Team, Advocacy, Governance and Vinnies Services.
  • Actively support the work of the Vinnies Vans Manager in driving sponsorships, fundraising and corporate connections through Vinnies Vans, working collaboratively with the Fundraising Team to meet set targets.
  • Contribute to the effective implementation of the Strategic Plan within their team.
  • Ensure that the operations of the service comply with the policies and procedures of the service, the St Vincent de Paul Society and relevant government regulations including WHS and Food Handling standards.
  • Support the Manager – Vinnies Vans to liaise with the client group, government agencies, community groups, corporate organisations and other relevant individuals and build partnerships with relevant stakeholders to facilitate sponsorship and support.

You Will Need 

  • Tertiary qualification and / or equivalent relevant experience in Community Services or related field
  • Outstanding communication skills including in written and verbal presentations and relationship building
  • The ability to establish and drive new programs and systems across a large organisation
  • Proven ability to meet fundraising goals based on the provision of a key community service or project
  • Strong understanding of issues surrounding homelessness and financial crisis in NSW
