The Summer Foundation’s aim is to resolve the issue of younger people living in Nursing Homes. Our Mission is to create, lead and demonstrate long-term sustainable change that stops young people from being forced to live in nursing homes because there is nowhere else for them.
The Summer Foundation’s Housing Matching Team works nationally with Specialty Disability Accommodation Providers and people living with disability through our Tenancy Matching Service to allow these people to live independently, often for the first time.
Currently the Team is looking for a passionate, driven and energetic team member to drive the WA Tenancy Matching projects on the ground. The Project Coordinator will engage people with disability, their families, supporters and professionals in the sector to connect them with newly built housing. This pivotal role is a lynchpin between people with disabilities and the providers. The Coordinator educates stakeholders on the new model of housing and facilitates a selection process on behalf of the Providers supporting both the housing applicants and the provider throughout the whole process.
This role has a significant degree of autonomy, will often work independently and travel both regionally and interstate at times.
The Summer Foundation offers amazing flexibility and full time or part time hours (0.8 FTE) can be negotiated. We also offer Salary Packaging, a supportive and collaborative team environment and the opportunity to feel good about what you achieve at the end of the day.
People with disability are encouraged to apply. Lived experience is valued by the organisation and looked upon favourably.
