SUPRA is the postgraduate student union at the Usyd, run by postgrads, for postgrads. SUPRA is governed by a council of postgraduate students who are elected each year by postgrad students. We also employ professional staff to provide professional services and assist SUPRA Council.
The Community Building Officer (CBO) will play a pivotal role in enhancing the experiences of postgraduate students at the University of Sydney. The CBO will provide direct support to SUPRA Council and volunteers, will facilitate the delivery of community building programs and events, and help foster a vibrant and engaged postgraduate student community. This role is a professional staff role and will report directly to the Casework and Strategic Coordinators of the Postgraduate Advocacy Service at SUPRA.
Conduct a comprehensive mapping of SUPRA's current community building activities and programs and planning for areas of expansion and improvement.

In collaboration with SUPRA’s Council, the CBO will be responsible for SUPRA’s Social Impact Grant (SIG), including:
In collaboration with SUPRA Council and SUPRA staff, the CBO will participate in the planning and running of orientation and welcome events for postgraduate students at the beginning of semester 1 and 2.
In collaboration with SUPRA Council the CBO coordinate the Supervisor of The Year Awards (SOTY)
