We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced person to join our team as the Member Training and Support Officer.

About Us

Surf Life Saving Tasmania (“SLST”) is a volunteer based not-for-profit community service association and is the peak organisation for water safety in Tasmania. Our purpose is to enable all Tasmanians and visitors to enjoy our aquatic environments safely.

About this Role

In this role, you will be involved in supporting the delivery of Surf Life Saving Tasmania’s member training services and programs to ensure members have the skills needed to perform their roles, as capable and rescue ready lifesavers.

The position is part-time, with the flexibility to work 38hrs per fortnight.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will:

  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of people and organisations.
  • Be proactive, demonstrating initiative with problem-solving skills and have a high level of attention to detail.
  • Have strong organisational and time management skills with ability to plan and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Be committed to Surf Life Saving Tasmania’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised and systematic but flexible and adaptable to meet competing priorities and challenging situations.
  • A ‘do-er’ that is focused on meeting deadlines, can self-motivate and work independently, whilst also contribute to a team.
  • Enthusiastic to take on new tasks as they arise and assist wherever required.

An option for full-time equivalent employment is available, subject to the applicants other experience and training qualifications.
