We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced person to join our team as the Coordinator – Community Programs and Services.

About Us

Surf Life Saving Tasmania (“SLST”) is a volunteer based not-for-profit community service association and is the peak organisation for water safety in Tasmania. Our purpose is to enable all Tasmanians and visitors to enjoy our aquatic environments safely.

About this Role

In this full time role as Coordinator – Community Programs and Services, you will be involved in coordinating, delivering and expanding SLST's community programs and commercial services, which include water safety programs, lifeguard services and first aid training, plus more!

About You

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of people and organisations.
  • Proactive approach, demonstrating initiative, problem-solving, and sound judgment.
  • Have strong organisational and time management skills with ability to plan and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Be committed to Surf Life Saving Tasmania’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Committed to SLST's mission and values, embodying the spirit of volunteerism and community service.
  • Organised and adaptable, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experienced in program development, coordination, and delivery.
  • A ‘do-er’ that is self-motivated, and able to work independently whilst also contributing to a team.
  • Enthusiastic to take on new tasks as they arise and assist wherever required.
