We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced person to join our team as the Coordinator – Development and Surf Sports*.

About Us

Surf Life Saving Tasmania (“SLST”) is a volunteer based not-for-profit community service association and is the peak organisation for water safety in Tasmania.

About this Role

In this full time role as Coordinator – Development & Surf Sports, you will be responsible for progressing development opportunities for our members across all areas of the organisation, including Surf Sports, to ensure our members have the support and skills needed to perform their roles.

*Surf Life Saving Tasmania is also recruiting for two additional roles:

About You

To be successful in this position, you will:

  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of people and organisations.
  • Be proactive, demonstrating initiative with problem-solving skills and have a high level of attention to detail.
  • Have strong organisational and time management skills with ability to plan and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Be committed to Surf Life Saving Tasmania’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Possess a current driver’s licence and registration to work with vulnerable people.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised and systematic but flexible and adaptable to meet competing priorities and challenging situations.
  • A ‘do-er’ that is focused on meeting deadlines, can self-motivate and work independently, whilst also contribute to a team.
  • Enthusiastic to take on new tasks as they arise and assist wherever required.
