About the role

To proactively identify, secure, manage and optimise institutional funding from a range of technical donors, such as the Australian Government through DFAT and other bodies and organisations.

A key objective is to create a diversified and sustainable funding base to support ongoing implementation of the RACS Global Health Strategy and Program in the Indo-Pacific region.

Skills and experience

  • Post-graduate qualification (Business, International Development or related field) supported by an extensive international or national level not-for-profit (NFP) fundraising experience.
  • Proven effective relationship management, strategy and planning.
  • Excellent research, writing and project management skills.
  • Experience with managing complex, donor-funded programs in the Indo-Pacific region.
  • Extensive knowledge of DFAT accreditation and ACFID and CID assessment.

About the company

The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) is a not for profit, membership-based organisation leading the way in surgical performance, professionalism and patient care in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

With service to our members at the forefront of our business, we support ongoing learning and development for our surgical workforce of more than 7,000 surgeons and 1,300 surgical trainees and Specialist International Medical Graduates.
