The Festival Program Manager is responsible for the delivery of program content and curating specific events within the National Sustainable Living Festival’s overall program of events. The Festival Program Manager will plan, administer and organise event content within a defined scope of the programming. The Festival Program Manager reports directly to the Festival Director and works closely with the entire Festival operations team to ensure the delivery of highly educational, visually appealing, and action-oriented content.

The Festival Program Manager will help to build successful and mutually beneficial relationships with event partners and organisations.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Identify and secure event presenters
• Identify and secure participating venues
• Establish required partnerships for event delivery
• Liaise with relevant event partner organisers
• Oversee the delivery of all production requirements of related events
• Assist in developing related communications and promotional materials
• Manage relevant Volunteers connected to the program
• Manage event surveying with partners and participants
• Report critical operational feedback for future events
• Produce final partners report post-event

• Strong organisational skills
• Strong project and time management skills
• A demonstrated ability to work with attention to detail
• Excellent computer (Mac), email, website, and administration skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including accurate spelling, good English language comprehension, and proofreading abilities
• Troubleshooting abilities
• Enthusiasm to work in a collective team environment
• Ability to build good working relationships with event managers

CONTRACT DURATION

The role will be for a fixed term - November 2021 to March 2022 - this covers planning, delivery, and then reporting after the Festival. The fixed-term contract amount is $14,000, with the applicant working three days per week (November to February) and two days per week (March) during the contract.
