Our Marketing & Communications Team

The Marketing and Communications team is responsible for SVA’s brand and reputation. The team works across the organisation to improve SVA’s brand awareness and client engagement; position SVA in public debates, manage organisational responses to critical issues impacting SVA’s brand and reputation and use the organisation’s voice to create change.

The team engages with a broad and diverse audience to build awareness of SVA and support relationships with funders, partners, clients, investors, policy makers and other stakeholders.

The Role

SVA is entering an exciting phase as we are prepare to launch our new brand in the second half of 2024.

The Marketing and Communications Manager will play a key role to support the delivery of this project and SVA’s broader marketing and communications strategy, including by creating impactful communications that increase SVA’s brand awareness and reach.

The role will work with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to develop and execute communications that build and consolidate SVA’s reputation as a leader.

Furthermore, the role will take the lead in supervising branding initiatives, working closely with agency partners and pulling together information for newsletters, online content, and producing public relations (PR) materials for external media.

Who You Are

Our ideal candidate brings proven experience designing and delivering impactful and user-centric communications that align with organisational strategy and support growth in brand awareness, audience engagement and reach.

You’re familiar and at ease working in an environment that requires you to combine strategic thinking with operational execution, and manage multiple projects with competing priorities, ensuring content and communications are of a high quality and delivered to deadline.

Your interpersonal skills will be second to none and allow you to partner with diverse internal stakeholder groups at all levels of an organisation, including senior leadership, as well as with external partners e.g., media agencies.

Ideally, you will bring some exposure to the for-purpose sector, including a passion and interest in supporting work that seeks to build an Australia where all people and communities thrive.
