This position is part of the process of ensuring the safety of Aboriginal children and keeping them with their family and community. It involves giving information and advice to families and community and liaising with the Strong Families Safe Kids Advice and Referral Line to ensure culturally appropriate service, referrals and interventions. 

The position requires knowledge and appreciation of the cultural and social needs of Aboriginal people and sound interpersonal and communication skills. The successful applicant is likely to have working knowledge of external services including Youth Justice, Child Safety and Education services, and the Aboriginal community-controlled sector.
