Your Opportunity

This is an amazing opportunity to join an innovative and inspiring program in helping young people and their families understand trauma and the impact it has on attachment and developmental milestones, through short and long term therapeutic treatment.

Berry Street Take Two offers therapeutic support to young people (age 12-17 years old and their families) residing in the Mallee region, who use family violence in their family home. Mallee Accommodation and Support Program (MASP) is the partner agency providing the case management component of the partnership. This clinician role will work closely with our colleagues at MASP.

The program utilises an ecological model to understand young people’s behaviours and recognises that a young person’s use of violence is situated within several complex and interrelated systems. Many young people who use violence may concurrently be experiencing attachment difficulties, mental health vulnerabilities, drug/alcohol misuse, risk of homelessness, disability, disengagement from education along with childhood experiences of family violence and family discord.

This particular Clinician role will work within the Adolescent Family Violence Program, working with young people who use violence within the home with their families.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinician you will create a welcoming space and provide high quality trauma and violence therapeutic services to infants, children, young people and their families at each stage of the stepped care model.
