Tandem is seeking an experienced Finance and IT Lead to join our team.

  • Location: Abbotsford (Hybrid)
  • Annual Salary (including super): $108,000 - $111,000 pro-rata (base salary + super)
  • Benefits: Salary packaging, meals and entertainment and flexible work options available
  • Position: Part-time (0.8 FTE)

Who is Tandem?

Tandem has been the voice for Victorians supporting those with mental health challenges for over 30 years. As the only Victorian peak body dedicated solely to advocating for families, carers, and supporters, we work to build a mental health system that values significant relationships and supports the carer lived experience workforce.

Most of our staff have experience of caring for or supporting someone with mental health challenges or participants on NDIS. We bring our experiences and understanding to the work we do to change the system for the better.

What will the Finance and IT Lead do?

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support Tandem’s operations.
  • Manage financial reporting, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and delivering key insights for decision-making.
  • Oversee IT and business systems and drive improvements that increase efficiency and to support Tandem’s mission.
  • Collaborate with leadership and project teams to provide commercial analysis on current and future projects.

What makes me ideal for this role? 

  • You hold a tertiary qualification in finance, IT, computer science, or commerce (CPA or CA preferred).
  • You’re skilled at developing and integrating business systems that support smooth operations and are experienced in financial management, forecasting and budgeting.
  • You have exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to engage and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • You bring a strategic mindset and enjoy finding new ways to leverage technology for a greater impact.
