Tangentyere Council Aboriginal Corporation (TCAC) is a community controlled Public Benevolent Institution delivering human services and social enterprise activities for the benefit of Aboriginal people from the Alice Springs Town Camps, urban Alice Springs, and Central Australia.
First incorporated in 1979, the organisation was a finalist in the 2016 Reconciliation Australia, Indigenous Governance Awards and is one of the 10 largest Aboriginal Corporations in Australia.

Led by our Board of Directors, the Office of the Chief Executive (OCE) is working closely with Town Campers to ensure all aspects of Housing Management across all Town Camps transitions back to TCAC in a manner which upholds principles of self-determination and supports strong governance within Housing Associations/Committees utilising the local – decision making framework.
The Town Camp Governance Coordinator is a full-time short term (3 months) role, with the potential to extend. The role will work within the OCE team to ensure new and existing governance and organisational policies and programs address local priorities and needs to achieve meaningful and lasting outcomes.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills who is committed to self-determination and community control. The Town Camp Governance Coordinator will work with the LDM Senior Coordinator, Social Policy & Research Manager and Executive Officer, Strategic development to support the development and coordination of a comprehensive response to issues and concerns raised by Town Camp Association members. This position will coordinate across internal and external stakeholders. This includes supporting the development of a Town Camp Authority Group, and the coordination, facilitation, and execution of follow up required from Town Camp meetings.
