Status: Full Time, Ongoing

Location: Broadford or Alexandra - Negotiable

The Partnerships and Agreements Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Partnerships and Agreements Unit. This position is responsible for the successful implementation of Taungurung’s Recognition and Settlement Agreement (RSA). Following the implementation of the RSA, the Partnerships and Agreements Manager will be responsible for the governance oversight and ongoing evaluation of the RSA.

Further, the Partnerships and Agreements Manager will take responsibility for supporting the negotiation and agreement making of other agreements required between TLaWC and government and non-government organisations. The position will also take primary responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of other agreements TLaWC enters into with.

Key Duties

  • Manage staff to ensure a consistent approach and a coherent plan for the Partnerships and Agreements unit
  • Oversee the development of governance systems to ensure adequate oversight and data for all TLaWC’s agreements
  • Manage the Partnerships and Agreements unit by taking responsibility for budgeting, reporting and compliance associated with any grant funding associated with the responsibilities of that team.
  • Work collaboratively across TLaWC to drive a range of outcomes in relation to treaty, NRM, economic development and nation-building
  • Provide specialist technical advice and advocacy in engaging with a range of stakeholders on agreement management matters
  • Prepare high quality briefs, submissions, reports and presentations for TLaWC senior management and/or government and non-government partners
  • Take responsibility for leading work – policy, strategic and operational – that will advance Taungurung rights and interests through the form of agreements
  • As part of the management team, actively contribute to the development and implementation of organisational policies, systems, procedures and processes that will ensure a best practice approach to everything TLaWC does.
