About the role

Get ready to be the backbone of our team as an Administration Officer! In this role, you will be the driving force behind the scenes, ensuring that everything runs like a well-oiled machine. From providing top-notch administrative support to staff and visitors to keeping our services operating smoothly and efficiently, you'll be at the heart of it all. Get ready to make a real impact and be a vital part of our mission to serve our community with excellence and precision!

This role is a parental leave backfill working 32.5 hours per week over 5 days commencing January 2025 through to October 2025.

Duties

  • Based at reception you will be the face of our Early Years Centre, expertly greeting clients andhandling incoming calls and inquiries with finesse.
  • Dive into the world of finance as you process payments with precision and efficiency, ensuring seamless transactions every time.
  • Be the backbone of our team by providing invaluable administration support, keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Take charge of coordinating meeting rooms, fleet vehicles, and maintenance tasks, ensuring everything is in perfect order for seamless operations.
  • Exercise your organisational skills by ordering stationery and office supplies, ensuring our team has everything they need to thrive.
  • Administration support to the Women’s Space program which is coordinated by The Benevolent Society and facilitated by volunteers.

Skills and Experience

We want you to be successful in your new role! This means you’ll have experience in a busy office environment as an Administrator or Coordinator, and:

  • Confident to take ownership of site management, ensuring you have your finger on the pulse and things are clean and organised.
  • Great attention to detail, with the ability to question the pieces that are missing
  • Strong customer service focus with the desire to provide a welcome environment for visitors and staff
  • The ability to balance multiple tasks and manage competing priorities effectively
  • The ability to identify sensitive information and maintain appropriate levels of privacy
  • The ability to work autonomously while remaining connected to the team and contribute to team outcomes
  • A VETAB accredited certificate in business services (or similar) desirable or equivalent work experience
  • Current driver's license is essential!
